Awesome Soundwave and Ethereal Bring Stimming, Sebastian Mullaert and Christopher Coe Together Live at Akasha Ibiza

Three leading live electronic artists will share the stage for an unprecedented all-night performance built entirely around real-time improvisation, modular synthesis and hardware.

On Friday, 16 October 2026, Akasha Ibiza will become the setting for a unique experiment in live electronic music as Stimming, Sebastian Mullaert and Christopher Coe come together to perform live throughout the entire night.

Presented by Awesome Soundwave and Ethereal Ibiza, the event will see the three artists perform together in real time, using modular synthesizers, hardware and live improvisation to create a performance that will evolve organically from beginning to end.

Rather than three separate sets, the concept is built around collaboration.

It marks the first time Stimming, Sebastian Mullaert and Christopher Coe have performed together in this format, placing improvisation and interaction at the centre of the experience.

Each artist brings a distinct relationship with live electronic music.

Stimming is known for his meticulous approach to sound design, hardware and intricate electronic compositions. Sebastian Mullaert has spent decades exploring improvisation and live electronic performance, developing an approach where spontaneity and interaction are fundamental to the music. Christopher Coe completes the trio with his own hardware-focused performance style and deep involvement in the live electronic scene.

Together, they create the conditions for a performance where nothing is entirely predetermined.

Awesome Soundwave Live Comes to Ibiza

The event forms part of Awesome Soundwave Live, the performance series from Awesome Soundwave, the label founded by Carl Cox and Christopher Coe to champion live electronic artists and provide an alternative to the traditional DJ-led format.

During 2026, the series has already travelled to Dublin and Belfast, before heading to Ibiza for this special collaboration with Ethereal.

The Ibiza event also marks Awesome Soundwave’s return to the island following its DC10 shows in 2023.

At Akasha, the concept takes on a particularly intimate dimension, allowing the audience to experience three artists building a musical conversation in real time rather than moving through a conventional sequence of individual DJ sets.

For a club environment increasingly shaped by fixed formats and carefully structured performances, Awesome Soundwave Live places the focus firmly back on experimentation, musicianship and the unpredictability of live electronic music.

One Night. Three Artists. No Script.

The result is intended to be a completely immersive experience — one in which modular systems, hardware and human interaction determine the direction of the music as the night develops.

There is no predefined journey and no opportunity to simply press play.

Instead, Stimming, Mullaert and Coe will respond to one another, building and reshaping the performance as it happens.
