SINGLE ARRIVES AHEAD OF THE COLLECTIVE’S INTIMATE MICROFEST GATHERING THIS OCTOBER 1-5

Desert Hearts founders Mikey Lion and Marbs have teamed up with SHADED for their new single “Time To Roll,” out now via Desert Hearts Records.

Built around the freewheeling energy that has defined Desert Hearts for more than a decade, the collaboration brings Mikey, Marbs, and SHADED together for a playful, late-night cut rooted in the spirit of the collective’s dancefloors. Its winking title offers a knowing nod to the culture that shaped Desert Hearts and continues to run through its music and parties.

The single continues a recent run of music from the wider Desert Hearts crew, following their debut California EP, “HTL,” their Life On Planets collaboration “This Is The Place,” and “A Place For Us.” Together, these releases have marked a new chapter for Desert Hearts as the longtime party, label, and community continues to evolve as a unified artist project.

“Time To Roll” also arrives ahead of Microfest, taking place October 1–5 at the 132-acre Deloro Valley retreat in Northern California. Designed as one of Desert Hearts’ most intimate gatherings since its earliest days, the festival returns to the close-knit dancefloors and community-first approach to house and techno that first shaped the movement.

The lineup brings together artists from across house and techno, including DJ Minx, Stacey Pullen, Danny Daze, Doc Martin, Justin Martin, DJ Holographic, and more, alongside Desert Hearts’ own Mikey Lion, Marbs, and Lee Reynolds. Across five days, Microfest will bring the collective’s music and free-spirited ethos back into the kind of intimate setting where it first took root.

Tickets are extremely limited. Fans can buy tickets here.
