Global dance music icon celebrates new album with surprise performances, skyline sets and a one-of-a-kind DJ bike ride across all five boroughs

To mark the release of his new album ‘Feel The Bass’ (out now via Ultra Records), electro-house pioneer Benny Benassi delivered an unforgettable, city-wide takeover of New York City that blended music, culture, and innovation across a packed weekend of headline-grabbing moments.

In partnership with Twitch and Times Square Alliance, Benassi ignited the launch with a surprise pop-up DJ set in Times Square, performing live from an iconic yellow school bus transformed into a fully equipped DJ booth. The spontaneous set, broadcast globally, drew crowds of fans and passersby, setting the tone for a weekend defined by bold, high-energy creativity.

The takeover continued with a cameo from Benny in the role of pizza maker at the legendary Scarr’s Pizza, indulging attendees with an array of slices and pies, before Benassi headlined his official album release show at Marquee New York in the early hours of Friday night.

On Saturday, he elevated the experience to new heights with a rooftop performance at The Edge Skydeck at 30 Hudson Yards, delivering a late-night set more than 1,000 feet above the city against the backdrop of the Manhattan skyline.

Closing out the weekend, Benassi took part in the TD Five Boro Bike Tour, a 40-mile charitable ride across all five boroughs with proceeds funding Bike New York‘s free bike education programs. A passionate cyclist, he turned the ride into a moving performance, DJing live while cycling on a custom-modified Canyon bike. The event, kicked off by Zohran Mamdani, brought together thousands and showcased Benassi’s ability to merge music with real-world experiences in unexpected ways.

Following the excellent feat and activation between Benny and the TD Five Boro Bike Tour, the main man himself closed out the weekend in style with a finale pop-up at Mi Casa Studios, where Benny played in an intimate setting and hosted an open decks session to bow out in style, with Scarr’s Pizza returning for a pizza drop to keep the party going.

At the center of the celebration is ‘Feel The Bass’, a powerful new chapter for Benassi that reinforces the sound he helped pioneer while pushing it forward. The album features standout collaborations including ‘Superstar’ with Chris Nasty, alongside appearances from ARTBAT, Felix Da Housecat and more, blending euphoric vocals, driving electro production, and club-ready energy.

With this ambitious NYC takeover, Benny Benassi proves that the release of ‘Feel The Bass’ is more than just a new album — it’s a full-scale cultural moment, bringing his signature sound to the streets, the skyline, and beyond.
